PEORIA, Ill. - - Oregon State redshirt freshman goalkeeper Jason Mariner made seven saves Friday afternoon, but the Beavers dropped a 2-1 decision to Southwest Missouri State (2-0-1) at the Bradley Classic.
Robbie Findley brought the Beavers (1-3-0) even in the 38th minute when he intercepted a goal kick and converted a blast from 15 yards for his second score of the year.
SMS' Ryan Anderson converted a score off passes from Nick Pollard and Danny May when he caught Mariner out from the net and was able to tap in the shot for a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute.
May scored the game-winner in the 61st minute off a pass from Jim Levesque.
OSU takes on Bradley Saturday evening.
