- Oregon State improved to 18-13 (.580) all-time in NCAA Regional games. The game marked the start of Oregon State's 11th postseason appearance.
- Head coach Pat Casey won his 30th postseason game at Oregon State. He is 30-8 (.789) in five postseason appearances.
- The Beavers improved to 35-20 (.636) all-time in the postseason.
- Oregon State won its NCAA Regional opener for the fifth consecutive season. The Beavers have not lost an NCAA Regional opener since 1986 in Stillwater, Okla.
- The Regional was the second for the Beavers in the Eastern Time Zone. Oregon State played in the 2007 Charlottesville Regional.
- Oregon State improved to 7-18 this season when being out-hit by its opponent.
- The Beavers are 17-4 when getting a quality start from its starting pitcher. OSU is 4-0 in neutral-site games when doing so.
- Starting pitcher Greg Peavey was credited with his eighth quality start in 15 appearances this season. It is his third away from Goss Stadium this season. The Beavers are 7-1 when he throws a quality start this season.
- Greg Peavey posted wins in consecutive starts for the first time in his career. He defeated Arizona on May 28.
- The Beavers are 23-8 when scoring the game's first run and is 29-7 when it holds its opponent to five runs or less.
- Tyler Smith's home run in the second was his second of the year and his first since March 21 against Maine.
- Smith finished the game with three RBI, tying his season-best that was set Feb. 26 against Tennessee at Goss Stadium.
- Andrew Susac extended his season-long hit streak to six games with a single in the second. He later scored on Tyler Smith's home run. Susac finished with a multiple-hit effort, his sixth of the season and third in his last six games.
