OREGON STATE: (2004) Amy is one of 16 returning letterwinners... will battle with Melissa Onstad for the starting spot... coach Fennah's comments: "Amy is coming on in leaps and bounds as a goalkeeper and performed very well at the end of last year for us." (2003) Started the final five games of the year, helping defeat Arizona and Stanford... started the second half against Cal and did not allow a goal in the next 190 minutes of action until Arizona's Lauren Winters scored at 55:38 of OSU's 2-1 win in Tucson on Oct. 31... made 11 saves against UCLA... played in seven games, starting five... allowed 10 goals in 465 minutes for a 1.94 goals-against average... 2-3 record with 42 saves.
OREGON WEST (CLUB): Played two years for the Corvallis team.
UTAH STATE: Played in six games, starting one... had a 1.33 goals-against average... made 15 saves... 0-1-0 record... also threw javelin on the track and field team.
SOUTH EUGENE: Earned four letters in soccer and track and field... second-team All-Midwestern League as a senior and honorable mention as a junior... voted team's Most Inspirational Player.
PERSONAL: Born in Eugene, Ore... daughter of Pam and Mike Johnson... family includes brothers Cameron (25) and Travis (25), and sisters Mari (30) and Libby (27)... mother is a research assistant at the University of Oregon... father is a technical assistant at the University of Oregon... majoring in Education and would like to go into nursing... grandfather Bary Ely rowed collegiately at California from 1946-49... father played football at Oregon from 1966-70... brother Travis played football at Southern Oregon College from 1996-2000... enjoys snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, hanging out with friends, playing guitar... favorite athlete is Michael Owen... chose OSU because, "It's close to home, competes in the Pac-10, has a great coaching staff, has wonderful opportunities, and I always wanted to be a Beaver."
