Game Notes Game time weather was cloudy at 51 degrees with light rain and light winds at kickoff. Attendance for the game was 60,872. The game aired on Pac-12 Networks with Ted Robinson providing play-by-play, Glenn Parker as the analyst, and Ryan Nece as the sideline reporter. Oregon State captains at the start of the game were Brian Watkins, Andrew Seumalo, Markus Wheaton and Jordan Poyer. OSU won the coin toss and deferred. OSU will kick off and defend the south goal. Oregon State wore all white with black helmets while Washington wore all black with gold helmets.
Oregon State Team Notes OSU's offense converted two scoring drives of 70-plus yards giving them 18 for the season. The Beavers had only 13 such scoring drives in 2011. The Beavers' defense recorded 1 interceptions in the game giving them 13 for the season (11 last season). Washington's 45-yard field goal in the first quarter putting the Huskies up 3-0 was the first time the Beavers have trailed in the first quarter this season. It was also the first time the Beavers have trailed since at Arizona (9/29). The 10-point lead for Washington in the second quarter is the most the Beavers have trailed by all season. The first half of Saturday's game marked the first time the Beavers have been shut out for a half since the second half of the 2011 game against California (11/12/12).
Oregon State Individual Notes Sean Mannion started at quarterback for the Beavers after missing two games (@ BYU and vs. Utah) due to a left knee injury. Markus Wheaton made 2 catches giving him 186 in his career and he remains in 186 place on OSU's all-time career receptions list. Markus Wheaton registered 25 receiving yards giving him 2,429 in his career and remains in fifth place on OSU's all-time career receiving yards list. Obum Gwacham's second quarter reception is his first of the season. Richard Mullaney's 45-yard reception in the second half is the longest of his career. He finished with four catches for 70 yards all career-highs - entered the game with one career reception. Terron Ward's 30-yard kickoff return to open the second half was the longest of the season for the Beavers and longest of Ward's career. Brandin Cooks finished the game with 123 yards ... his fourth 100-yard game of the season and his career. Sean Mannion completed the 24th touchdown of his career moving into a tie for sixth on OSU's all-time list (Steve Endicott).
