2012 Melanie earned first team All-America honors - the first of her career - on the floor exercise ... finished tied for fourth at Individual Event Finals (4/22/12) with a score of 9.925 ... earned All-Pac-12 First Team in the all-around ... added uneven bars to her repertoire in 2012 after not training on the apparatus for most of two years due to previous shoulder injuries ... established career-high of 39.425 in the all-around at Pac-12 Championships (3/24/12) and tied career-high on the beam (9.90) ... set career-highs on beam (9.90) and floor (9.95) at UC Davis (2/10/12) ... set career-best on bars (9.85) against UCLA (2/17/12) and matched it at the Comfort Suites Invitational (3/16/12) ... posted season-high 9.80 on the vault at Pac-12 Championships ... performed first bars routine of her collegiate career against Stanford (1/27/12) ... joined the all-around at UC Davis (2/10/12) and remained in all four lineups for the final eight meets of the season ... 2011 Melanie performed in 11 meets in 2011 competing on beam and floor 10 times each and three times on vault ... set a season-high on floor with a 9.925 against UCLA (1/28/11) ... established a season-best of 9.85 on beam at Arizona State (2/6/11) and matched it against Utah (3/12/11) ... scored a season-best 9.75 on vault at the Pac-10 Showcase (1/9/11) ... missed the NCAA Corvallis Regional due to injury (ankle/foot) ... suffered a calf injury during warm-ups at the NCAA Championships and missed the meet ... Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention ... "hit" 21 out of 23 routines.
2010 Melanie competed in 13 out of 14 meets as a freshman ... scored 9.90 on the floor in each of the first three meets she was in the lineup ... began the season in just the beam lineup before breaking into the vault and floor lineups ... nailed her vault to score 9.875 and set a career-high at Utah (3/12/10) ... set season-high on beam of 9.825 at LSU (3/5/10) ... with the exception of a miss at NCAA Championships, Melanie scored 9.80 or better on all nine of her other floor routines ... "hit" 27 out of 31 routines.
Pre-Oregon State Melanie was the alternate to the 2008 Australian Olympic Team in Beijing ... earned top 10 finishes on all four events at 2008 Australian National Championships; second on vault, ninth on uneven bars, balance beam and all-around and 10th on floor exercise ... earned third place finish on vault and 10th on bars at 2007 national championships.
