CLEAN SWEEP:
Beaver Gymnastics last competed March 14 inside Gill Coliseum, posting a 196.925 to best Denver on senior day. OSU had a tremendous performance against the Pioneers that day, as Sophia Esposito (vault, floor, all-around), Taylor DeVries (bars) and Kaylee Cheek (beam) combined to sweep the event titles in a commanding victory that included a season-best 49.425 rotation score on floor and the second highest team score of the entire season, coming in behind the 197.250 scored against No. 10 Stanford two weekends prior.
CAM CAM:
Camryn Richardson had a strong performance in that last meet against the Pioneers, vaulting her way to a season and career high-tying 9.850 before earning a 9.875 on bars in the next rotation. Appearing in eight meets this season, the freshman from Pearland, Texas, enters Friday's Regional Semifinal with 17 hits on 18 total routines, earning nine scores of 9.800-plus and one 9.900-plus, a 9.925 earned on bars against Utah State inside Gill Coliseum on Jan. 25.
WHAT A YEAR:
Sophia Esposito has contributed early and often throughout her Oregon State career and had a tremendous junior season that culminated in 42 hits across 42 routines. With averages of 9.841 (VT), 9.839 (UB), 9.800 (BB), 9.884 (FX) and 39.389 (AA), the Melville, N.Y., native has tallied 35 scores of 9.800 or better and 11 of 9.900 or better, which includes each of her last three floor routines; Esposito capped that three week stretch with a career high-tying 9.950 in the team's last competition against Denver.
30-PLUS:
Olivia Buckner and Savannah Miller join Esposito as the only Oregon State student-athletes with 30 or more routines completed this season, with the duo each stepping into new roles in 2026 and excelling.
Miller, whose previous single season high for total was 20, finished the season with 30 hits, as she was a regular contributor in the vault, bars and floor lineups. Primarily competing on floor in her previous three years, Miller took it to another level on that event, averaging a 9.850 across appearances in 10 of the team's 11 regular season meets, rattling off a 9.825 in each of her last nine appearances while setting and tying a career high with a 9.850 on the uneven bars in the team's final two regular season competitions.
Buckner's junior campaign included consistent contributions in three lineups, excelling specifically as part of the vault and floor lineups. After some early season bumps, the Riverton, Utah, native found a rhythm and took it to the next level down the back half of the season, earning a 9.850 or better vault score in each of the team's final five competitions while also earning a 9.850 or better in four of those five on floor.
CHASING PERFECTION:
There were 15 Beaver gymnasts who completed at least one routine in the 2026 regular season, three of whom finished with a perfect hit rate. Defined as any score 9.650 or greater, Esposito's 42 hits on 42 routines led the team while Mia Heather was 11-11 on the beam and Sophia Kaloudis was 9-9. Eight more athletes also finished with a hit rate north of 90%: Reina Marchal (19-20, 95%), Richardson (17-18, 94.4%), Miller (30-32, 93.8%), Buckner (29-31, 93.5%), Kyanna Crabb (12-13, 92.3%), Ellie Weaver (21-23, 91.3%), Taylor DeVries (10-11, 90.9%) and Lauren Letzsch (10-11, 90.9%).
START AND FINISH:
DeVries' junior season got off to a quick start, earning a 9.925 and winning an event title at the Best of the West Quad against UCLA, Cal and Washington in the regular season opener on Jan. 3. The Roscoe, Ill., native then finished her regular season with another bars event title, earning a 9.900 against Denver, adding a 9.800 during the Beavers' floor rotation that culminated in a 49.425. With 10 hits across 11 routines as a junior, DeVries is now at 37 hits across 41 career routines as a Beaver.
CONSISTENCY:
OSU's highest-ranked event after 11 regular season meets is its beam lineup, sitting at No. 20 in the latest Road To Nationals rankings. The six to compete in that lineup remained the same in 10 competitions, while the order for those six has also been consistent, starting the year with Esposito - Buckner - Cheek - Heather - Letzsch - Weaver but moving to Heather - Buckner - Cheek - Weaver - Letzsch - Esposito ahead of OSU's meet against Utah State on Feb. 14.
UP NEXT:
Should the Beavers finish as one of the top two teams in Friday's Regional Semifinal, OSU would compete in the Regional Final slated for 5 p.m. Pacific this Sunday, April 5.
