
Saelee Finishes 8th, Beavers 7th at Rose City

AURORA, Ore. – The Oregon State women's golf team shot a 19-over 307 on Tuesday in the final round of the Rose City Collegiate to finish in seventh place at the two-day, 54-hole tournament in Aurora, Ore.
The Beavers finished the tourney with a 49-over 297-309-307--913 at the par-72, 6,080-yard Langdon Farms Golf Club to finish in the middle of the 13-team field.

Junior Chelsea Saelee, who had two birdies en route to OSU's best score on Tuesday, carded a 2-over 74 and finished with a 7-over 73-76-74--223 to finish tied for eighth to lead the Beavers. Freshman Hannah Swanson finished in a tie for 24th with a 14-over 75-79-76--230.
Senior Ashlee Pickerell and freshman Haley Nist each finished with an 18-over 234 to finish in a tie for 40th.
Senior Anica Yoo tied for 47th with a 20-over 72-78-86--236.
“It was another tough day for the Beavers today,” head coach Sammie Chergo said. “Our bright spot was Chelsea's consistent play. I feel confident that the experience we gained this week will help us continue to improve and grow as a team.”
The entire Oregon State roster, including four individuals, played at the Rose City Collegiate. Freshman Laura Hoskin fired a 2-over 74 on Tuesday to finish tied for 24th at 14-over 74-82-74--230. Sophomore Krissy Peterson finished tied for 40th at 18-over 77-77-80--234, senior Lauren Fischer tied for 54th at 22-over 81-79-78--238 and sophomore Jesse Hamilton finished tied for 56th at 23-over 82-79-78--239.
The Beavers get right back to action next week at the two-day Edean Ihalanfeldt Invitational in Redmond, Wash., which begins on Tuesday, Oct. 7.
Cal State Fullerton won the team title with a 26-over 890 and Tisha Alyn Abrea of the Titans won medalist honors with a 1-under 215.
