Beavers Fall to No. 23 Wyoming

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State wrestling fell to the No. 23-ranked Cowboys of Wyoming on Sunday night inside Gill Coliseum, 29-12.
The Beavers fell to 2-4 dual record on the season, while the Cowboys improved to 7-2.
Oregon State began the night with a 12-0 lead, winning the first three matches at 197, 285 and 125 pounds. At 197 pounds, 16th ranked Corey Griego started things off with a 17-2 technical fall over Cody Vigoren in 6-minutes 23-seconds, putting the Beavers ahead 5-0.
Redshirt senior heavyweight Amarveer Dhesi continued his unbeaten streak in duals with a 12-4 major decision over Hunter Mullins. Two of Dhesi's three dual victories are bonus point wins; fall and major decision.
125-pounder Ronnie Bresser was the last Oregon State grappler to have his hand raised on the night. The Klamath Falls native won by decision over Drake Foster, 4-2. Bresser also remains undefeated in dual meets this season.
Wyoming won the next three matches by major decision over Oregon State tying the dual at 12 apiece. Devan Turner fell to No. 9 Montorie Bridges, Jack Hathaway lost to No. 1 Bryce Meredith, while Kurt Mode fell to Sam Turner.
OSU dropped the final four matches losing to No. 23 Wyoming, 29-12.
