- Oregon State has a short week ahead as the Beavers return to Reser Stadium to take on Washington on Friday.
- Washington is 5-4 this season, and 2-4 in Pac-12 play after dropping a 33-28 decision to Utah last week.

- Smith is Oregon State's single-game record holder for passing yards versus the Huskies with 469 in 1998.
- Head football strength and conditioning coach Mike McDonald served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Washington from 2014-17.
- Jermar Jefferson ran for 115 yards in last season's game in Seattle. It was the last of seven 100-yard efforts for the then-true freshman last year.
News, Notes And More
- Twitter.com/BeaverFootball is still the program's main Twitter handle, but the Twitter.com/BeaverFBNews was created in the offseason.

Reviewing Arizona
- Oregon State is coming off one of the top offensive efforts in program history in last week's win over Arizona.
- The Beavers' 56 points marked their most ever in a conference road game and were just three shy for the most away from home against any opponent. OSU's 59 at Hawai'i in 1976 remains the road standard.
- Oregon State's 572 offensive yards are the 16th-best single-game total in program history, and seventh-most against a conference foe.
- The win pushed OSU to its first three-game road win streak since the 2013 Beavers won four straight.
In The Standings
- Oregon State is 3-2 in Pac-12 play this season and is in second place in the North Division after the 56-38 win over the Wildcats.
- The Beavers have won two consecutive games for the first time since 2016, when OSU ended the season with wins over Arizona and Oregon.
Luton In 2019
- Jake Luton threw for three touchdowns in the Beavers' win over Arizona, giving him 19 on the season, which ties Lyle Moevao (2008) for the seventh-most in a single-season at OSU.
- Luton is one shy of tying head coach Jonathan Smith for sixth. Smith threw for 20 TDs in 2000.
- Luton is looking to become just the third OSU QB with 20 or more touchdowns in a season with less than 10 interceptions. He would join Smith (20 TDs/7 INTs in 2000) and Sean Canfield (21 TDs/7 INTs in 2009).Â
- Luton has thrown one INT in 2019.
- Luton tied an Oregon State record with four touchdown passes in the first half in the win over Cal Poly, equaling Scott Richardson (1979 vs. Washington State), Derek Anderson (2002 vs. UNLV), Lyle Moevao (2008 vs. Oregon) and Sean Mannion (2013 vs. Colorado).
Luton's lone INT came on a tipped pass against Utah, ending a streak of 181 consecutive passes without a pick for the redshirt senior. He has thrown 78 passes since the interception. He has more passing attempts than any other quarterback with just one interception.
Luton's Career Books
Jake Luton has thrown for 33 touchdowns at Oregon State and is closing in on  No. 5 Sean Canfield, who tossed 38 from 2006-09.
The RBs
- Artavis Pierce (114 yards) and Jermar Jefferson (105) became the first Oregon State duo to rush for 100 or more yards in the same game since Ryan Nall (221) and Darell Garretson (105) versus California in 2016.
- It's the 18th time Oregon State has had at least two players rush for 100 or more yards, and the seventh time since 2000.
- Pierce is now 11th in the Oregon State record books with 1,951 yards. He also is the program's career leader with 5.9 yards per rush.
- Jefferson, meanwhile, moved into 15th all-time with 1,781 rush yards. He is also now tied for seventh at OSU with nine 100-yard efforts in his career.
Speights' Big Week
- Omar Speights was named the Pac-12's Freshman of the Week Monday. The linebacker tallied a team-best 10 tackles in the win over Arizona. He added half a sack and one tackle for loss.
- The freshman has 23 tackles over his past three games; the 10 versus Arizona tied his season-best set originally against Utah.
TFL Note
- Oregon State tallied eight tackles for loss against Arizona, moving the team's Pac-12 lead to 68 this season. That is three more tackles for loss than No. 2 Oregon, which has played in one more game than the Beavers.
- Oregon State also ranks 12th nationally in overall TFLs, and fifth with 8.5 per game.
- The 68 tackles for loss are more than the 2018 (53), 2017 (50), 2016 (52) and 2015 (54) teams recorded all season. Â
- The Beavers have picked up at least five in every game this season. By comparison, the 2018 Beavers, who finished with 53 overall, had five or more in game four times.
And Sacks, Too
- Oregon State added four sacks in the win over Arizona. The Beavers have 25 this season, one shy of Pac-12 leader Oregon, which has played one more game than OSU.
- The 2019 Beavers have also surpassed the 2017 (14), 2016 (18) and 2015 (17) Oregon State teams.
