
Beaver Relays Kick Off Pac-12 Championships

Oregon State earned a pair of season best performances
FEDERAL WAY, WASH – Oregon State opened the 2019 Pac-12 Women's Swimming Championships competing in the 200 medley relay and the 800 freestyle.
The Beavers 200 medley relay team of Felicia Anderson, Cali Rowland, Jacquie Price, and Amanda Hoejberg posted a season best time but were disqualified during the event.
In the 800 freestyle relay Kitty Schneider, Arianna Letrari, Erin Harvey, and Amanda Hoejberg finished with a time of 2:25.26. That time was also a season best and comes in nearly ten seconds faster than their seed time of 7:35.20.
After the first two events the Beavers sit four points behind The University of Utah for 8th place, coming in with 44 points on the day.
"I was proud of the team performance," said Beaver head coach Jennifer Buffin. "Both the relay swimmers and the rest of the team focused on their roles and executed our best performances of the season. We will rest up and start getting ready for individual events tomorrow."
Tomorrow's events:
The morning session will be preliminary races of every event. After that, the top times will advance to the finals in the evening session.
