McShane Improves Own School Record at San Francisco Invite

SAN FRANCISCO – Lindsay McShane of the Oregon State University track & field team broke her own school record at the San Francisco Invite highlighting the weekend of competition in the Bay Area for the Oregon State Beavers.
McShane improved her own school record by six feet throwing 196-feet, 4-inches at the San Francisco Invite. Keely McLaughlin recorded the third-best all-time mark in the event with a throw of 181-feet, 5-inches.
In the 800 meters, Rebecca Ledsham placed third in her heat with a time of 2-minutes, 14.38-seconds, while freshman Mari Friedman recorded a seventh place finish in her respective heat with a time of 2-minutes, 15.89-seconds.
McShane again led the Beavers in the discus recording a fifth place finish with a best throw of 156-feet, 4-inches. McLaughlin had a best throw of 149-feet, 8-inches, while Jordynn Slater placed in 17th with a best throw of 122-feet, 0-inches.
