Beavers Notch Four All-Time Marks on First Day in L.A.

Hall Wins Javelin
LOS ANGELES – Highlighted by Delaney Hall claiming the crown in the javelin, the Oregon State track and field team wrapped up a long day in Los Angeles on Thursday which saw the team compete at three different events; Pacific Coast Intercollegiate, Bryan Clay Invite, Mt. Sac Relays.
In total, the Beavers notched four marks or times that rank in the top 10 of the Oregon State record books. Hall's mark at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate didn't top her current mark at No. 2 all-time, but it did secure her first place with a distance of 150-feet, 11-inches. She beat out 26 other competitors, surpassing Margaret Nelson in second by nearly two feet.
Tarisa Olinski competed in just one event on Thursday, the 400 meters, where she finished with a time of 57.29-seconds and in 13th place. Olinski already graced the record books at OSU in the event, but her personal-best time moves her up to No. 7 all-time.
Lyman, Wyo. native Ann Wingeleth jumped her way to a top three finish in the long jump on Thursday afternoon, and into the top three all-time at Oregon State. Wingeleth's longest jump marked 19-feet, 8-inches which moved her up one spot to No. 3 all-time.
The Beavers have a newcomer to the top 10 list in the 10,000 meters, Greta Van Calcar. She was one of two competitors for OSU joined by Colette Richter. Van Calcar's time of 35-minutes, 10.88-seconds sets her at No. 3 in Oregon State's history in the event. Richter finished just behind Van Calcar at 35-minutes, 19.07-seconds.
Redshirt freshman Audrey Bright improved her already No. 5 mark in the pole vault with her performance on Thursday. As the top finisher for the Beavers, Bright cleared 11-feet, 3.75-inches finishing in 15th place.
