Beavers Finish Action At Stanford in Spring Opener

PALO ALTO, Calif. – Oregon State Women's Rowing opened its spring campaign on Stanford's home course and won one of four races to the No. 2 Cardinal.
The Beavers V4+ traversed the 2,000-meter course in 7:33.62 to outpace Stanford by nearly two seconds. Coxed by AnnaRuth Neville, the Varsity four boat featured Natalie Tercek, Becca Pritchard, Callan Jackman and Mackenzie Rice.
The Beavers' Varsity 8 fell to Stanford with the Cardinal racking up an advantage the Beavers couldn't come back from. OSU crossed the finish line in 6:50.92 with Stanford coming in at 6:39.04.
The second varsity eight was outpaced by the Cardinal and finished in 7:04.25. Stanford took first with a time of 6:44.08.
To finish out the day, the Beavers' second varsity four placed second with a time of 7:59.77 while Stanford covered the course in 7:44.03.
Up Next
OSU is idle for a few weeks before they host Gonzaga on the waters of Dexter Lake. The race is set for Saturday, March 21.
