Defense Shines As Beavers Win In Boulder

With the win, Oregon State improved to 7-2 for the first time since 2012.
Colorado's negative rushing tally marked the first time an OSU opponent failed to rush for positive yardage since Stanford had negative-8 in 2007.
Andrew Chatfield Jr., had three sacks to lead the Beavers, while Cory Stover had one. Both Beavers were credited with a forced fumble, as OSU recovered one.
DJ Uiagalelei scored on a 1-yard rush late in the third quarter, and Atticus Sappington connected on field goals from 22 and 41 yards out, respectively, in the fourth quarter.
Neither team gained much traction for most of the first half, but a late OSU drive pushed the Beavers head by 11 entering the break. Anthony Gould returned a punt 28 yards to the Colorado 25, and coupled with a Buffaloes' 5-yard penalty, the Beavers were able to start a late drive in the red zone. DJ Uiagalelei found Deshaun Fenwick down the right side of the field for a 20-yard score with just 16 seconds remaining. The touchdown reception marked the first of Fenwick's collegiate career.
OSU had taken a 7-0 lead when Aidan Chiles scored on a 23-yard rush with 1:26 left in the first quarter. Colorado got on the board via a 32-yard field goal midway through the second quarter.
The Beaver defense limited Colorado to just 52 yards of offense in the first half.
