
Beavs Take Four Victories at Season Opener

DEXTER LAKE, Ore. – Oregon State women's rowing took first in four of five races in the squads opening competition of the 2023 spring schedule, as the Beavs hosted Clemson, Gonzaga and San Diego at Dexter Lake on Saturday morning.
The Beavs began the morning with a first-place finish in the 2V4+ race, as Sasha Stolasz, Madeline Toaso, Zoe Eberle, Sasha Delman and Grace Sansoterra (cox) combined to win the first race of the day with a time of 7:54.14. OSU came within a second of sweeping the morning, as the 1V4+ of Zoë Bishop, Alexa Ellis, Margo Calub, Anna Godfrey and Taylor Denger (cox) finished just 0.77 seconds behind Gonzaga with a time of 8:03.85 to take second.
The 2V8+ of Charlotte Gregory (cox), Giulia Clerici, Kathryn Worley, Rebecca Logan, Kaitlyn Judd, Tulla Angeley, Megan Lautner, Torree Hawken and Rebecca Falash dominated their race, finishing over 12 seconds in front of the rest of the field to take first behind a time of 6:50.07.
Following a time of 6:50.07, the 1V8+ of AnnaRuth Neville (cox), Muryn Greene, Maeve Donnelly, Kathryn Clemens, Sierra Bishop, Evan Park, Rhianna Loughnan, Anneka Davys and Annelise Norkitis finished four seconds clear of Clemson, Gonzaga and San Diego.
Oregon State closed the day with a statement win, as the 3V8+ of Anna Michie (cox), Mason Fischer, Toaso, Eberle, Delman, Neils, Ashtyn Miller, Stolasz and Sofia DeLange finished nearly 25 seconds ahead of Gonzaga A and B boats with a time of 7:34.92 to conclude a strong opening day for the Beavs.
