Men’s Golf Heads to The Desert

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State men's golf team, fresh off three consecutive second-place finishes, heads to the Thunderbird Collegiate, a two-day event that begins Friday.

The Beavers placed in a tie for second at the Redhawk Invitational April 4. Nolan Thoroughgood and Jackson Lake each tied for fifth to pace the Beavers.

Previously, OSU was second at the Duck Invitational the week prior, with Mateo Fuenmayor taking home a co-individual title.

OSU also finished in a tie for second at the Bandon Dunes Collegiate on March 12 and 14. Lake also posted a top-10 finish at the Oregon coast, tying for eighth.

COURSE: The tournament will be held at the par-71, 7,551-yard Papago Golf Club.

FIELD (12): Oregon State, Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, New Mexico, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas, Texas Tech and Utah.

BEAVERS' LINEUP: Oregon State's lineup will consist of Jackson Lake, Nolan Thoroughgood, Rylan Johnson, Carson Barry and Mateo Fuenmayor.

FORMAT: Two-day, 54-hole tournament with 36 holes Friday and 18 on Saturday. The top-four individuals from each five-member team with the lowest scores for each 18-hole round constitute the scoring members for that given round.

TEE TIMES: The tournament will run via tee times starting at 7 a.m. PT.

LIVE SCORING: There will be live scoring for the tournament on golfstat.com.
