Women’s Rowing Finishes Fifth at Pac-12 Championships

LOWELL, Ore. – The No. 19 Oregon State women's rowing team earned a fifth-place finish at the 2023 Pac-12 Championships Sunday morning on Dexter Lake.
The Beavers totaled 21.5 points which were highlighted by a fourth-place finish in the 2V8+ while the Beavs other three boats all crossed the line in fifth.
No. 4 Stanford took home the title for the second-straight season with a total of 43.5 points while No. 6 Washington (40.5) and No. 7 California (33) rounded out the top three.
The Beavers began the morning with a pair of fifth-place performances with the 3V8+ of Grace Sansoterra (cox), Madeline Toaso, Mason Fischer, Ashtyn Miller, Sasha Stolasz, Margo Calub, Zoe Eberle, Sofia DeLange and Alexa Ellis crossing the line in 6:53.249
The 1V4+ of Alexandra Hutchinson, Sasha Delman, Zoë Bishop, Annalise Bledsoe and Taylor Denger (cox) finished in 7:23.485.
The 2V8+ of Charlotte Gregory (cox), Kathryn Worley, Giulia Clerici, Kaitlyn Judd, Rebecca Logan, Tulla Angeley, Megan Lautner, Victoria Hawken and Rebecca Falash finished ahead of USC, UCLA and Washington State with a time of 6:34.801 to earn fourth.
Oregon State's final race of the day saw the Beavs take fifth for the third time on Sunday, this time in the 1V8+. AnnaRuth Neville (cox), Muryn Greene, Maeve Donnelly, Kathryn Clemens, Sierra Bishop, Evan Park, Rhianna Loughnan, Anneka Davys and Annelise Norkitis crossed the line in 6:29.460 to defeat Washington State and UCLA.
Oregon State now waits to find out if it qualifies for an at-large bid into the 2023 NCAA Rowing Championships at the Camden Country Boathouse in Pennsauken, N.J. May 26-28.
The selection show will take place Tuesday, May 16 at 3 p.m. PT.
