Penultimate Homestand Opens

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State volleyball team will close October and open the penultimate homestand of the season with matches against Saint Mary's and LMU this weekend.
The Matchups
October 24 Saint Mary's 7 p.m. ESPN+

Numbers to Know
1 – Oregon State will meet Saint Mary's and Pacific just once each this season.
3 – Oregon State met Saint Mary's and LMU a combined two times in the 2010s, once each.
4 – Annika Hester sits fourth in the WCC for both kills (104) and kills-per-set (3.71) during league play.
7 – Yasemin Narlioglu's 3.54 digs/set rate in league play places her seventh in the conference.
13- Emma Lilo has 13 matches this season with at least 20 assists, including in eight of the last nine.
25 – Annika Hester recorded 25 kills on Saturday, which was a career-best. Her previous best of 20 was set two weeks ago in the win over USF.
The Week's Opposition
• Oregon State returns home this week and will host Saint Mary's and LMU.
• The Beavers are opening their penultimate homestand and will welcome Gonzaga next week in a one-match week.
Series Renewals
• The Beavers and Gaels will meet for the sixth time on Thursday night. Oregon State holds the slim 3-2 lead and since dropping the first matchup, OSU has won three of four.
• Gill Coliseum will have been the setting for three of the last four following Thursday.
• OSU and LMU have met five times with each side winning twice. No side has won consecutive matchups in the series.
Looking Back at Last Week
• Oregon State fell in four to Washington State in Pullman before defeating Gonzaga in five set on Saturday to cap the road trip.
• The Beavers won thrilling frames in the fourth and fifth sets to take the win over the Bulldogs in Spokane.
A New Era Underway
• For the 2024-25 and 2025-26 school years, OSU is an affiliate member of the WCC before returning to a rebuilt Pac-12 in 2026-27.
• Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, San Diego State and Utah State will join OSU and Washington State in the Pac-12 on July 1, 2026.
Aces Wild
• With a month of league play behind Oregon State, a pair of Beavs are in the top 10 in service aces.
• Emma Lilo (22) sits in sixth while Vivian Light is at eighth with 20 across all matches.
• In league play, Iris Coba has tallied nine, which ranks eighth.
• Light's five-ace match at Portland last month ranks atop the league's single-match performances in WCC action. It ranks as tops in the league during four-set matches.
• Lilo's five-ace outing against San Francisco two weeks ago is the most in a five-match set this season.
• With 22 to her credit this season, Lilo leads the Beavers in service aces.
Anni's on a Roll
• Over the last three matches, Annika Hester has been an offensive force.
• The Falmouth, Maine, product has put up a .383 clip from 61 kills to just 17 errors on 115 swings.
• In the five-set win over San Francisco two weeks ago, she had 20 kills on 34 attempts for a .441 hitting percentage as well as a pair of digs.
• Against Washington State, she totaled 16 kills on 31 swings for a .387 clip.
• Last Saturday, she had a career-best 25 kills and a hitting line of .340 in the win over Gonzaga on the road, another five-setter.
• Across all action, she finds herself eighth for kills-per-set with 3.17 in the WCC and ninth in kills (209).
Amazing Emma
• Standing at 468 assists, Lilo can enter the program's top 10 for most assists as a freshman with only 17 more.
• She'd be the first Beaver to reach a top-10 for any stat in the Behonick era.
League Honors
• Oregon State's pair of preseason conference-honored student-athletes were Hester and Rumel
• The Beavers were picked to finish fourth in the conference by the league's coaches in the preseason poll.
• The fourth-place selection is the highest for the Beavers in the Behonick era.
The World to Corvallis
• For the second consecutive year in the Behonick era, the Beavers will have three international student-athletes.
