Second Varsity Four Victorious in Race at Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Oregon State women's rowing competed on Saturday against Indiana at Ohio State; OSU returns to action next Saturday, heading to Charlottesville, Va., to match up against Virginia, California, Yale and Syracuse.
In the first race of the day, OSU's 3v8+ lineup of Emily Wood, Zoe Eberle, Jenny Doss, Addy Dunlap, Caitlin Kirkpatrick, Ellie Roberti, Hannah Stively, Abby Thomas and Kinsey Olarrea came in second place with a 6:42.7.
Soon after, Oregon State picked up a win in the second varsity four (Taylor Denger, Katie Judd, Megan Lautner, Isabella Mitchell, Elke Thursten). The Beavs got off to an early lead and continued to open the gap, resulting in a 23 second margin over Indiana with the Beavs posting a final time of 6:44.1.
In the 1V4+ race, OSU's Grace Sansoterra, Reese Wyatt, Zoe Bishop, Anna Bledsoe and Margo Calub came in second place with a 6:59.8 while the second varsity eight (Nicole Shultz, Charlotte Lightfoot, Becca Logan, Kate Worley, Tulla Angeley, Anneka Davys, Ashtyn Miller, Harriet Williams, Sasha Delman) also finished second with a time of 6:08.9.
The final race of the day saw Oregon State's first varsity eight lineup of Charlotte Gregory, Giulia Clerici, Maeve Donnelly, Evan Park, Rhianna Loughnan, Lauren Garrett, Becky Falash, Torree Hawken and Alex Hutchinson walk back on the Hoosiers in the final 500m for a tight finish in second place with a 6:01.4, just one second behind Indiana.
