Beavers Drop Overtime Heartbreaker
January 25, 2025 | Women's Basketball
STOCKTON, Calif. – Oregon State women's basketball got elite performances from Tiara Bolden and Kelsey Rees, but couldn't quite get it done in overtime on the road, falling 67-66 in Stockton.
Â
Rees scored a team-high 22 on 9-of-16 shooting with six rebounds. Bolden had a career-high five steals to go with 20 points that she scored on 9-of-12 shooting from the floor.
Â
The Beavs countered a late free throw with 4.8 seconds left by going to Rees, who was swarmed by Tigers on the play. The senior wasn't able to put OSU ahead with Pacific players all over her. The Tigers were whistled for three fouls in overtime and the fourth quarter combined after being called for 15 fouls in a physical first three quarters.
Â
The overtime was OSU's fifth of the season, a program record in the stat. Both road games at Pacific went to the extra period with the Tigers eking out each one on shots that just barely fell.
Â
Catarina Ferreira contributed all over the floor for the Beavers. She couldn't get shots to fall with just four points, but chipped in seven rebounds, six steals, five assists and a block.
Â
Oregon State returns home to battle Washington State in a Pac-12 rematch on Monday. The game tips off at 7 p.m.
