Beavers Fall to Huskies in NCAA Tournament

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State's season ended in heartbreaking fashion with a 3-2 loss to Washington on Thursday night. Â

Richie Aman scored the golden goal for the Huskies in the 104th minute to advance the Huskies to the NCAA Second Round.

Arnau Farnos made history in the final game of his career.The senior tied Sean Young's school record of 75 career points with a goal and assist. He ends his Oregon State career as one of the most decorated players in school history.

Farnos' assist came in the fourth minute on a goal by Fran Cortijo. The seniors connected with Farnos passing from near the end line to Cortijo, who hammered in the match's opening goal from the top of the box.

The Huskies answered in the 57th minute with a header off a corner kick before Farnos gave the Beavers the lead once again. The senior put away a penalty kick for his 15th goal of the season, tying him with three others for the second-most goals by a Beav in a single season.

UW responded in the 85th minute with a bouncing header eventually sending the match to extra time.

John Nicolson recorded nine saves in the net for Oregon State. Jadon Bowton had two saves for Washington.
