FULLERTON, Calif. – The Oregon State men's soccer team completed an unbeaten Southern California weekend to open the 2026 season, posting a dominant victory over Cal State Fullerton 3-0 Sunday evening in Fullerton, Calif.

The Beavers controlled nearly the entire second half, out-shooting the Titans 20-5 in the period. Wyatt Borso scored twice in the contest, while Milo Wray added Oregon State's third. John Nicolson held his first clean sheet of the season in net.

Overall, Oregon State recorded 23 shots on the night, compared to 12 for Cal State Fullerton.

Neither side was able to create a clear chance early on, as the teams headed to the first-half hydration break scoreless on a hot Southern California evening. Oregon State looked as though it might have earned a penalty mid-way through the first half, but after a Beaver challenge the referee upheld his decision not to award a spot-kick.

The Titans created a scoring chance in the 39^th minute, but Nicolson was quick off his line to eliminate the threat. The teams headed to the intermission scoreless.

Wray nearly put the Beavers in front early in the second half, but his effort sailed just over the crossbar. Wray had another shot minutes later, as Oregon State continued to knock on the door early in the second half.

Borso found the breakthrough from the penalty spot in the 69^th minute. Michael Nesci nearly added a second minutes later, but the Titan keeper made the save. Borso broke through down the left side in the 84^th minute, and put the ball past the keeper from a tight angle to double the advantage. Wray found the net four minutes later to secure the Oregon State victory.

The Beavers will be back in action for their home opener next Sunday against No. 1 Washington.
