February 27, 2025 | Women's Track & Field
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State head coach Louie Quintana was named the 2025 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Women's Coach of the Year, the conference announced on Thursday.
In his eighth year as head coach, Quintana guided the Beavers to their first-ever MPSF Championship in their first year returning to the conference, and their first-ever title since the rebirth of the program in 2010. OSU finished 26 points ahead of second place in the race for the team championship.
OSU has seen 54 personal bests from the team this indoor season, 47 of which were Top-10 additions to the OSU history books. The Beavs posted nine new school records this season, earning three of them at the conference championship this past weekend.
This season, the squad was ranked #1 in the MPSF for two consecutive weeks and is currently ranked in the NCAA as #6 in high jump, #23 in weight throw and #28 in the 3,000 meters by the USTFCCCA.
In his time at the helm, Quintana led the Beavers to the 2022 NCAA Cross Country National Championships for the third time in school history, coached a school-best three individual indoor track All-Americans and an NCAA-era-high of three outdoor track All-Americans.
He coached the school's first Pac-12 Champion, Grace Fetherstonhaugh, who was the school's first-ever Pac-12 Track Athlete of the Year. Quintana has led the OSU cross country team to the best finishes in program history at the NCAA Championships and Pac-12 Championships.
