May 06, 2025 | Women's Rowing
SAN BRUNO, Calif. – For the fourth time in the last six weeks, Oregon State's varsity eight boat has been named West Coast Conference Crew of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Coxed by Taylor Denger, the boat featured Charlotte Lightfoot, Lauren Garrett, Annelise Norkitis, Tulla Angeley, Rhi Loughnan, Ashtyn Miller, Linda Weitmann and Sasha Delman.
Following a victory by the 2V8+, the varsity eight won on Saturday in convincing fashion, completing the 2,000 meter course in 6:44.30, approximately 10 seconds ahead of Southern California (6:45.16), 19 seconds ahead of Sacramento State (7:02.95) and 30 seconds ahead of San Diego (7:15.79).
In defeating the then-ranked No. 23 Trojans, Saturday's victory officially made it four-consecutive regattas with a win for the Beavers' top boat, a winning streak that includes then-ranked No. 21 Gonzaga on March 21, No. 24 Washington State on April 5, and No. 24 Southern California at the Big Ten Invite on April 18.
Oregon State women's rowing returns to action next weekend, traveling to Gold River, Calif., to compete in the conference championship regatta.
