Beavers Finish Season No. 18 in the Nation
June 01, 2025 | Women's Rowing
WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – Oregon State women's rowing competed in the 2025 NCAA Championships over the weekend, sending two boats to a C Final and finishing 18th overall.
Action began on Friday with each boat racing once to determine its place in each semifinal; both eight boats finished fifth in their respective heats before the four used an impressive final 500 meters to regain nearly three seconds of time and finish in fourth place, surpassing Pennsylvania.
All three Beaver boats competed in the C/D semifinal on Saturday, starting with the varsity eight, who finished the course in 6:20.899, good for second place, to earn a spot in the C Final; after a fourth place finish put the 2V8 in the D Final, the 1V4 punched its ticket to a C final thanks to a second place finish.
On Sunday, Oregon State's 1V4 kicked things off with a fourth-place finish in the C final. In the very next race, the Second Varsity Eight D Final, OSU was victorious, winning with a commanding 6.8 second margin of victory to complete the course in 6:41.169; Oregon State's top boat finished its final in fifth place with a 6:26.071.
When final point totals were tallied up, the Beavers placed 18th in the country with 33 points, coming in ahead of Northeastern (27) but behind Dartmouth and Pennsylvania, who tied for 16th with 39 total points.
With the NCAA Championships complete, Oregon State women's rowing has officially concluded its 2025 spring championship season.
