May 26, 2026 | Women's Rowing
GAINESVILLE, Ga. – Oregon State women's rowing will compete in the NCAA Division I Women's Rowing Championship this weekend, traveling to Gainesville, Ga., for three days of racing at Lake Lanier.
The championship is composed of 22 teams, which features 10 who were awarded automatic qualification via winning their conference, and the remaining 12 slots were filled with at-large selections. OSU, who recently won its second-consecutive West Coast Conference Championship, was one of the automatic qualifiers.
Each of the 22 teams at this week's championship event will race a first and second varsity eight, as well as a four, and each boat has been seeded. For Beaver women's rowing, the first varsity eight sits at No. 16, the second eight is No. 14 and the four is No. 12.
OSU's first boat will hit the water Friday at 6:48 a.m. Eastern / 9:48 a.m. Pacific, with the varsity eight racing in lane five of heat one.
The NCAA Rowing Championship will air live on NCAA.com and live results can be found at RegattaTiming.com.
Beaver women's rowing is coming off a dominant performance at the West Coast Conference Championship, finishing with a perfect 60 points, winning all eight individual races across two days of competition.
Lauren Garrett was named WCC Rower of the Year, Taylor Denger was Coxswain of the Year and Director of Rowing Michael Eichler earned Coach of the Year honors while Garrett, Giulia Clerici, Charlotte Lightfoot and Rhi Loughnan were named to the All-Conference team.
2026 marks the program's seventh trip to the NCAA Championship and first time going in back-to-back seasons, having previously qualified in 2025 (18th), 2022 (14th), 2009 (15th), 2000 (15th), 1999 (13th) and 1997 (ninth); the Beavers did qualify in 2020 but the championship event was canceled due to COVID-19.
