OSU Women’s Rowing to Compete in 2026 WCC Championship
May 14, 2026 | Women's Rowing
GOLD RIVER, Calif. – Oregon State women's rowing will compete in the West Coast Conference championship this weekend, traveling to Gold River, Calif., for a two-day regatta that concludes with a first varsity eight Grand Final on Saturday.
Four boats will be competing in this year's championship, beginning with two heats of the 2V4+ at 8:30 and 8:45 a.m. Friday, which are followed by the 1V4+ (9:00 / 9:15 a.m.), 2V8+ (9:30 / 9:45) and conclude with the varsity eight (10:00 / 10:15 a.m.). On Saturday, racing begins at 8:00 a.m. with the 2V4+ Petite Final and concludes with a 9:45 a.m. Grand Final for the varsity eight.
Action will air on ESPN+ with live results at HereNow.com.
Oregon State was last in action at its home course May 2, competing head-to-head with Washington State in a regatta that featured five Oregon State victories across six total races. With a lineup that featured Taylor Denger (C), Lauren Garrett, Quincey Ludwig, Giulia Clerici, Rhi Loughnan, Margo Calub, Linda Weitmann, Ashtyn Miller and Charlotte Lightfoot, the Beavers' varsity eight posted a near 10.5-second margin of victory, one of three boats to win by at least 10 seconds.
That regatta came on the heels of a successful weekend on this weekend's racecourse, Lake Natoma, at the Big Ten Invite, when OSU had wins in the 1V4 and 2V4 as well as multiple top three finishes in all four boats across two days of racing and three total heats each.
This weekend's racing isn't the first time the Beavers have faced West Coast Conference opponents, competing against WSU in May and Sacramento State at the Big Ten Invite, also hosting Gonzaga, Portland, Santa Clara and Seattle at the Oregon State Invite in March, where OSU also won five of six total races.
In the last poll of the regular season, released May 12, the Beavers sat at No. 20 nationally.
