August 21, 2025 | Women's Cross Country
CORVALLIS, Ore. – A pair of Oregon State cross country runners have earned Preseason All-West Coast Conference recognition, the conference office announced Thursday, as Sage Brooks and Kate Laurent both earned the honor.
Earning the title for the second time, both Brooks and Laurent were named to the West Coast Conference Women's Cross Country Preseason Team ahead of the 2024 season.
Brooks, a redshirt-senior, is set for her third season with the Beavers after transferring from Syracuse. The Missoula, Mont., native was one of OSU's top performers last fall, scoring in the Beavers' lineup at every meet. She placed inside the top-20 at the 2024 WCC Championships and earned first at the Linfield Oja Invitational.
Laurent enters her senior campaign following another consistent season in 2024. The Bellevue, Wash., native led the Beavs at the 2024 WCC Championships with a sixth-place finish and was among the Beavers' top finishers in multiple meets throughout the fall.
The Beavers' 2025 season opens with the Lewis and Clark Opener on August 29th.
