"We've only had three practices before this first competition, so I was excited to see the jumps in fitness they have made this summer.," Oregon State head coach Louie Quintana said. "We are much better than our preseason West Region ranking, and I'm looking forward to this next block of training for our crew. They did a nice job getting out hard in the race and controlling the tempo. They worked great together and then opened up over the last K. Sage was controlled and smooth. She's in a great spot right now."
