SAN MARCOS, Texas – Oregon State volleyball won in straight sets on Wednesday, defeating Texas State 25-18, 26-24 and 25-20 in the team's ninth win of the season and fourth in Pac-12 play.

AC Froehlich had herself a day, hitting .393 on the way to a 15-kill performance, adding nine digs. A native of Lafayette, La., Froehlich has led a potent Beaver attack this season with 235 kills, averaging 3.92 per set, both of which rank second best in the conference, and is sitting in third with 4.38 points per set.

Cheyenne Green was pivotal in the win, amassing nine kills, three digs, three blocks and two aces, while Taylor Treahy finished the match with eight kills and one block. Taray Tela produced six kills on a .312 percentage to go with three blocks, and Jackie Matias kept the offense flowing with 27 assists.

Oregon State hit .344 as a team, totaling 43 kills on 96 attacks, which was the fifth time this season that OSU has posted a hitting percentage of .300 or better, and second in the last four matches.

Quick runs were the name of the game for a Beaver side that won the first set 25-18. A 3-0 run out of the gate was followed by another four unanswered after two Bobcat points, and the team ended the set on a 4-0 stretch. Froehlich took over with seven kills on 12 attempts as OSU made it eight first set victories this season.

Texas State opened the second on a 7-0 run but Oregon State quickly battled back, leveling the match at 12 apiece before taking its first lead of the set on a Tela kill. Treahy built the lead out to three at 19-16 and a trio of Green kills in the final five Oregon State points helped the team to a 26-24 extra point win.

Both teams battled in set three, as the Beavers took a quick two point lead and held the Bobcats at arm's length. Though Texas State leveled at 14 and took an 18-17 lead, Oregon State responded with a 6-0 run on its way to a 25-20 set victory, notching the team's fourth sweep of the season.

Beaver Volleyball plays one more on the road at Fresno State before returning home to host Utah State at 1 p.m. on Oct. 24.
