Cooper Vance and Jacob Galloway each equaled career highs with three hits and Jacob Krieg hit his first home run of the season but the 11th-ranked Beavers dropped a 9-4 decision to No. 20 Southern Miss on Saturday night. Krieg hit a three-run home run to put OSU up 3-1 in the fourth but the Eagles scored eight of the game's last nine runs for the win. Ethan Kleinschmit started and struck out 10 but he also allowed four runs on five hits, two of which were home runs.
