June 19, 2026 | Women's Volleyball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State volleyball has signed Beatrice Spada ahead of the 2026 season, Head Coach Lindsey Behonick announced Friday.
Â
"We are so excited to have Beatrice join for the 2026 season. She will bring a great dynamic to our offense and has an arm that will be effective on either pin," Coach Behonick said. "She has played at some of the highest levels in Italy and we are excited for her international experience to impact the level in our gym. She has a bright personality that fits seamlessly into the positive and motivated culture that OSU volleyball already embodies."Â
Â
Originally from Verona, Italy, Spada most recently played for Club Italia in the Serie A2 in Italy, making 12 appearances in the 2025-26 regular season.
Â
She has extensive experience with the Italian youth national team, placing first in the WEVZA U18 qualifying tournament in 2024 and second in the U18 national league in 2024-25, also winning the WEVZA U17 qualifying tournament in 2023.
Â
A 6-4 opposite hitter, Spada cited the combination of high-level competition and excellent academics for why she chose Oregon State.
Â
"I chose Oregon State because it allows me to combine top-level sport with an excellent academic education," she said. "Playing volleyball for the Beavers in such a competitive environment, whilst also being able to study on a campus that offers excellent degree programs, was exactly the kind of challenge and personal growth I was looking for, both as an athlete and as a person."
Â
Spada and the Beavers open regular season play Aug. 28 against Utah Tech in Orem, Utah.
