Jesse Legree Named Pac-12 Freshman Of The Week, Again

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State's Jesse Legree had a near record-breaking day in his first career game at Reser Stadium Saturday and has been rewarded with his second consecutive Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honor.

Legree caught eight passes for 240 yards and two touchdowns as the Beavers threated No. 13 Texas Tech. His 240 yards are the second-most in a game by a Beaver, following 293 by Mike Hass at Boise State in 2004. It's also the most at the FBS level since Xavier Worthy tallied 261 for Texas in 2021.

Legree is the first Beaver wideout to go over 200 yards at home since Hass in 2003.

The Baltimore, Md., native's honor adds to his weekly list, which has seen him named the True Freshman of the Week by 247Sports, as a Freshman of the Week by On3 and he was also named to Pro Football Focus' Week 2 Team of the Week.

Legree leads the nation with 376 receiving yards, which includes a 71-yard reception at Houston in week one and a 75-yard catch against the Red Raiders. He's the first Beaver with back-to-back 70-yard receptions since Chad Johnson in 2000.
