WASHINGTON D.C. – The No. 10 Oregon State men's soccer team fell to No. 5 Georgetown 3-0 Friday evening in a top-10 clash in Washington D.C.

The result marked the Beavers' first defeat of the season, as Oregon State moves to 2-1-1 on the season. The Hoyas move to 4-0-1.

Georgetown took an early lead, scoring off a deflected shot from outside the box in the 15^th minute. The Hoyas added a second five minutes later to double the advantage.

Paul Fecteau forced a save from the left side in the 29^th minute, as the Beavers looked to pull one back. Aidan Marquez took aim shortly thereafter, but the effort was just off target. Georgetown added a third before the break to head to the intermission up 3-0.

Oregon State claimed a foothold in the match early in the second half, controlling some possession and claiming territory in the Georgetown third. Gonzalo Aranaz headed one on frame in the 83^rd, but the keeper made the save. Max Eisenberg forced another save in the 87^th, but the Hoyas did not concede in the match, claiming the win by three.

The Beavers will remain on the east coast to take on Virginia on Tuesday.
