Taryn Hand joined the Oregon State women's cross country and track programs as a volunteer assistant coach during the 2011-2012 season.
Hand joins the staff after being an assistant coach for Fleet Feet Sports, which is West Hartford's Distance Training Program. She worked with beginning and experienced runners while they trained for a half marathon.
Hand graduated in 2008 from the State University of New York-Geneseo with a bachelors of art in Psychology and a Biology minor. At SUNY-Geneseo, she ran cross country and track for four years and was a member of the ninth and fifth place teams at the 2006 and 2007 NCAA Division III Cross Country National Championships. She was inducted into the SUNYAC Cross Country Hall of Fame and was a multi All-Atlantic Region honoree, All-SUNYAC and All-NYSCTC selection in cross country and track.
