Oregon State Team Notes
• Oregon State improved to 7-1 for the first time since 2000.
• Arizona State was 4-of-17 on third-down conversions. Opponents have converted on just 27-of-112 (24.1 percent) on third down conversions this season.
• Oregon State improved to 13-25-1 all-time against the Sun Devils, including a 7-5-1 mark in games played in Corvallis. OSU has now won the last four at Reser Stadium, dating back to 2008, and is 4-1 in the last five games overall regardless of venue.
• Steven Christian's interception in the fourth quarter gave the Beavers 14 as a team this season after finishing with 11 in all of 2011.
• The Beavers finished with one 100-yard rusher and two 100-yard receivers for the second time this season. OSU saw Markus Wheaton, Brandin Cooks and Terron Ward achieve the feat against ASU. The Beavers also accomplished it against Arizona, when Wheaton, Cooks and Storm Woods did so.
• The game marked the first time in school history the Beavers played in three consecutive games that started at 7:15 p.m. or later. OSU played Utah at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 20 and Washington at 7:15 p.m. on Oct. 27.
Oregon State Individual Notes
• Terron Ward's 53-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter was the longest rush by an OSU player this season and the longest of his career. It surpassed the previous long this season by Markus Wheaton, who carried the ball 35 yards in the first quarter Saturday.
• Ward's touchdown was the second of his career. Both have come against Arizona State, the first one coming in 2011.
• Ward ended the game with 146 yards rushing on 19 carries, easily a career-high. His previous best was 43 yards against Washington in 2011.
• Wheaton's rush surpassed a 30-yard rush by Malcolm Agnew against BYU, which was previously the longest by an OSU player.
• Markus Wheaton tallied 108 receiving yards and Brandin Cooks finished with 116. It marked the third time this season the duo had 100-yard efforts in the same game. Cooks has five games of 100 or more yards this season while Wheaton has three.
• For Wheaton, it was his ninth career 100-yard game, moving into sole possession of fourth in OSU history.
• Wheaton caught his seventh and eighth touchdowns of the season. He has eight for the season, which is tied with Chad Johnson (2000) and Shane Morales (2008) for sixth at OSU.
• He now has 12 for his career, good for a tie for 10th in school history.
• Wheaton extended his streak to 31 consecutive games with at least one catch.
• Trevor Romaine connected on field goals of 41, 45 and 33 yards, tying a career-best. In four career games against Arizona and Arizona State, he is 9-for-12 in field-goal attempts.
• Steven Christian intercepted his first career pass in the fourth quarter.
