Oregon State
2003: Played in 61 games and started 12 matches (five on the right side and seven in the middle)... After playing right side for most of the year, came off the bench at Oregon (Oct. 30) and played two games as a middle for her first collegiate action in that position... Also came off the bench at Washington State, hitting .333 with four kills and tying her career-high of three blocks... After that, she started the final seven matches of the season in the middle and was named the team's Most Improved Player... Earned all-tournament team honors at the Charlotte Classic, hitting .439 with 20 kills (2.86 kpg), 17 digs (2.43 dpg) and 10 assists (1.43 apg) in two matches... Had a career-high 12 kills and nine digs against Charlotte... Hit .273 with nine kills, four digs and two blocks at No. 9 California... For the season, hit .211 with 89 kills (1.46 kpg), 84 digs (1.38 dpg), 27 blocks and 18 assists.
Gresham High School
Four-year varsity starter... Gatorade Player of the Year for Oregon in 2002... First team all-state as a senior and second team as a junior... Gresham won the 4A state title her junior and senior years and was third her sophomore year... The team was ranked 12th in the nation in 2002... First team selection on the Class 4A Tournament all-tourney team her senior year... Named first team All-Mount Hood Conference her final two seasons after taking honorable mention recognition as a freshman and sophomore... Selected to the Student Sports Hot 100 Class of 2003 list... KATU Athlete of the Month in November 2002... Played club volleyball for Nike Northwest Juniors for nine years... The 18-Air Elite was the 2003 regional champion and her 14 and 16 teams placed second at the national Davis Festival in 1999 and 2001... Also played basketball and was a two-year starter...National Honor Society member... Renaissance leadership publicity chair... Was a peer mediator and member of Key Club and Earth Club... Selected to be a counselor at the OASC leadership camp in the summer of 2003 and 2004.

Born in Lincoln City, Oregon... Daughter of Kathy and James Windell... Has four older sisters, Carrie, Miranda, Jessica and Libby, and two nieces, Tayler and Ryann... All four of her sisters played sports in college... Libby played volleyball at Arkansas, and Carrie and Jessica played at Jacksonville University... Miranda played basketball at Western Oregon... Her dad was on the football, basketball and track teams at Hawaii... Her grandfather played football at USC, and an uncle played football at Wyoming... Pre-apparel major and would like to become a fashion designer... Member of Kappa Delta sorority... Student Involvement chair for OSU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee... Enjoys shopping, working out, crafts and volunteer work.
