THE GAME: Oregon State (9-4, 1-0 Pac-12) returns to Gill Coliseum to face USC (9-6, 2-0) in its Pac-12 home opener at 8 p.m. on Thursday.

TELEVISION: The game will be televised on ESPNU with Roxy Bernstein and Corey Williams calling the action.

QUICKLY: Oregon State is shooting 87.4 percent (76-for-87) from the free throw line over the last four games ... In five seasons under Wayne Tinkle, the Beavers are 50-12 (7-0 this season) when leading at halftime and 55-6 (8-0 this season) when leading with five minutes to play ... Tres Tinkle has scored 20-plus points in four consecutive games, the longest streak of his career ... Stephen Thompson Jr. needs 47 points to become the seventh Oregon State player in history to reach the 1,500-point mark ... Zach Reichle got his first career start at Oregon and finished with seven points, two rebounds and two assists ... Gligorije Rakocevic (.667) and Kylor Kelley (.638) are shooting a combined 64.8 percent from the field ... Ethan Thompson has scored in double figures in seven of the last eight games ... vs. USC: Oregon State and USC meet for the 139th time in history with the Trojans leading the series, 74-64. The Beavers have a 40-31 advantage in games played in Corvallis.

The Trojans won all three meetings last season to extend their winning streak to six in the series. The first was 74-67 on Jan. 20 at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis. The second was 72-59 on Feb. 17 at the Galen Center in Los Angeles. The third was 61-48 on March 8 in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas.

Tres Tinkle averaged 16.0 points and 7.7 rebounds in the three games and posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds in the game in Los Angeles. Stephen Thompson Jr. averaged 11.7 points and had five steals in the game in Corvallis.

A WIN OVER THE TROJANS: If Oregon State defeats USC it will improve to 10-4 overall and 2-0 in Pac-12 play. It would also:

Be the first time Oregon State started 2-0 in Pac-12 play since 2010-11 and the second time since 2004-05.
Be the third time in the last five years Oregon State has 10 or more wins through its first 14 games of the season (10-4 in 2014-15; 11-3 in 2015-16).
Be the fourth time in the last five years Oregon State won its Pac-12 home opener.

WIN OVER THE DUCKS: Oregon State opened Pac-12 play with a 77-72 win over Oregon in Eugene.

It was the third time in the last four years Oregon State won its Pac-12 opener.
It was the first time Oregon State beat the Ducks in Eugene since Jan. 29, 2012 (76-71).
It was the first time Oregon State won its Pac-12 opener on the road since Jan. 7, 1993 (77-66 at Stanford).
