THE GAME: Oregon State (14-8, 6-4 Pac-12) will host the California Golden Bears (5-17, 0-10 Pac-12) at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at Gill Coliseum.

vs. CALIFORNIA: Oregon State and California meet for the 151st time with the Golden Bears holding an 88-62 advantage, including a slim 36-34 edge in games played in Corvallis.

Cal has won six straight games in the series and 11 of the last 12 dating back to 2012.

The Beavers' lone win since 2012 came on Jan. 9, 2016 at Gill Coliseum when Gary Payton II had 20 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and four steals. Tres Tinkle added 15 points and five rebounds off the bench.

The Golden Bears won the only meeting between the teams last season, 74-70, on Feb. 3 at Haas Pavilion in Berkeley. Stephen Thompson Jr. scored a game-high 24 points, Tres Tinkle finished with 13 points and eight rebounds, and Ethan Thompson added 10 points. Darius McNeill led four Cal players in double figures, while Marcus Lee and Kingsley Okoroh scored 14 points apiece and Justice Sueing finished with 11 points.

A WIN OVER THE GOLDEN BEARS: If Oregon State defeats California it will improve to 15-8 overall and 7-4 in Pac-12 play. It would also:

Equal Oregon State's best conference record through 11 games since the 1989-90 team opened 10-1 (the 2014-15 team started 7-4 in Wayne Tinkle's first season).
Be the fourth time in five seasons under Wayne Tinkle that Oregon State has won at least 15 games; the Beavers won 15-plus games four times in the 22 seasons before Tinkle became the head coach.
Be the fourth time in five seasons under Wayne Tinkle that Oregon State has won at least seven Pac-12 games.
Snap a six-game losing streak to California.
