Beavers Pulling Double Duty in San Francisco

CORVALLIS – It will be a busy weekend for the Oregon State University track and field team as they head to the bay area to compete at the Stanford Invitational and the San Francisco State Invite.
The distance crew will be competing solely at the San Francisco State Invite held at Chabot College. The hammer throw group consisting of Jessica Molina, Keely McLaughlin, Sydney Guthrie-Baker, Jordynn Slater and Lindsay McShane will be competing at both invitationals.
The Beavers distance group is slated to compete in three events including the 800 meters, 1,500 meters and 5,000 meters. The Oregon State distance contingent is comprised of Mari Friedman, Rebecca Ledsham, Grace Featherstonhaugh, Brigette Takeuchi, Lexi Reed, Greta Van Calcar and Colette Richter.
In addition to the hammer throw, the Beavers will be competing in the shot put, discus and javelin. Emma Nelson is the only jumper to see any action in the coming days as she competes in the high jump at the Stanford Invitational.
