Beavers Complete Competition At Head Of The American

GOLD RIVER, Calif. – The Oregon State pair of Maeve Donnelly and Evan Park took second to highlight the women's rowing team's outing Saturday at the Head of the American.
The duo finished with a time of 20:04.1, just behind UCLA's A pair at 19:51.4. It's the second top-two finish of the fall for Donnelly and Park, who took first at the Head of the Spokane a week ago.
Donnelly and Park were one of eight pairs for the Beavers, who also saw Ashytn Miller and Annelise Norkitis take ninth with a time of 20:41.0. Lauren Garrett and Rhianna Loughnan finished 11th at 20:42.9.
Oregon State's 1V8+ squad took third in its race, finishing just behind UCLA and California. The Beavers posted a time of 16:55.7, right behind Cal's mark of 16:52.3.
The Beavers' 2V8+ entry also finished in the top 10, posting a time of 17:26.6. The Beavers were just shy of No. 5 California (17:21.6), San Diego (17:21.9) and Stanford (17:26.5).
Oregon State concludes its early-season slate with the Orange and Black Regatta on the Willamette River in Corvallis. That is scheduled to take place Nov. 18. For more information and to sign up, visit here.
