STARTING FIVE
3 AND D
Oregon State has long been one of the sweetest shooting teams in the Pac-12, finishing in the top-three in the league in three-point percentage 8 times in the last 10 seasons. After two down seasons from downtown, OSU is back at the top of the nation from downtown. The Beavs are making 38.2 percent of their triples - 16th in the nation and 2nd in the Pac-12 - with three players shooting 40 percent or better: Timea Gardiner, Kelsey Rees and AJ Marotte. OSU is also holding opponents to 25.6 percent from beyond the arc, the 2nd-best mark in the Pac-12.
Â
TOO REES-Y
Kelsey Rees joined Oregon State as a grad transfer with two years of eligibility remaining. The Australian spent two years playing for Utah and brought 60 games of experience, including last season's Pac-12 Championship year, to Corvallis. The junior has been an impact player with her floor spacing (54.2% 3PT) and shot-blocking (1.4 blocks/game), filling two crucial needs for the Beavers and pairing well with Timea Gardiner (while playing the five) and Raegan Beers (while playing the four).
Â
DOUBLE-DOUBLE QUEEN
Raegan Beers made a mark quickly at OSU, racking up double-doubles in her second, third and fourth college games. Beers closed the 2022-23 regular season leading the nation in double-doubles by a freshman. She was also the only true freshman in the country to score 20 points in a double-double six times last season.
