'SHIP ON THE LINE
An Oregon State win over Utah would create a four-way share of the regular season title between Oregon State, Cal, UCLA and Utah. A Utah win or tie at Oregon State this weekend would make the Utes outright regular season champions. The Gym Beavs won a share of the 2022 Pac-12 Regular Season Championship. This is the fourth season the conference has crowned a regular season champion, beginning the tradition in 2020.
BEHIND ENEMY LINES
Utah is under the direction of 7th-year head coach Tom Farden. Utah finished the 2023 home schedule undefeated, going 5-0 in the Jon M. Huntsman Center. It is the fourth year in a row the Red Rocks have gone undefeated at home and the 10th undefeated home season in the last 11 years. Utah's 198.550 against Cal (Feb. 24) is the third-best score in program history and the second highest in the nation this season. The Utes are the only team in the nation to score a 49.7 or better on beam more than once this season. The Red Rocks have three scores of 49.7 or better on beam in 2023. Utah has scored a 49.500 or better on bars four of the last five meets. Utah has scored a 49.475 or better on floor five of the last six meets.
UP NEXT
OSU flips the switch to postseason with the Pac-12 Championships in West Valley City, Utah on Saturday, March 18. Oregon State took third at the 2022 Pac-12 Championships, after scoring their sixth 197 of the season, which was the first time since before 1999 that any Beaver squad has done so.
