Beavers Look to Claim Championship Ticket in Washington

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Looking for a ticket to the NCAA Championship, seven Oregon State runners are headed to Washington to race in the NCAA West Regionals.

The meet's top two teams and top-four individuals not on a qualifying team automatically advance to next Saturday's NCAA Championships in Wisconsin.

The Beavs are coming off a fourth-place finish at the WCC Championships. Oregon State's top finisher, Kate Laurent, placed sixth which secured her spot on the All-WCC First Team. Sage Brooks finished 15th, earning a position on the All-WCC Second Team. The team's fourth-place finish and 83-point score put nearly an 80-point buffer between them and fifth place.

If they do not finish in the top two at regionals the Beavs will find out if they made the national meet on Saturday, November 16 at 2 p.m.
