
Big Weekend in Seattle for Oregon State Track and Field

SEATTLE, Wash. – The Oregon State Track and Field team finished the weekend with seven Top 10 program records and 15 Top 10 finishes at the UW Preview that was held Friday and Saturday.

In the 60 meters, Jada Hurley led the way for the Beavers with a 10th-place finish in 7.74. Delaney Bahn followed in 19th place with a personal best of 7.84, moving her to #8 all-time in OSU history. Addison Swartzendruber represented the Beavs in the 400m, finishing in seventh place with a time of 57.84.

Delivering another dominating performance in the weight throw, Jayla Hooper improved her own school record by more than two feet. The transfer from Stephen F. Austin threw a distance of 19.86m/65-2 to place first overall.

In her collegiate debut, Bea Pettersson clinched her place in OSU record books. Pettersson threw a personal best of 16.04m/52-7.5 in weight throw to place sixth in Seattle and sixth in OSU history. Her third place throw of 13.88m/45-6.5 in the shot put places her at number eight in OSU history.

The high jump saw strong finishes with Dede Norman leading the squad by clearing 1.70m/5-7 for 4th place, just shy of her personal best. Grace Proudfoot finished 5th with a mark of 1.65m/5-5, and Lexi Hunt tied for 7th at 1.60m/5-3. In the pole vault, Claire Lee vaulted to a personal best of 3.71m/12-2, earning 5th place and the #2 spot in OSU history. Maddy Juhler and Mia Fowler also impressed, tying for 7th with marks of 3.56m/11-8, with Juhler moving to #5 in OSU history and Fowler to #6.

The Beavers showed their strength in the distance events as well. Ruby Lorenz posted a personal best of 1:37.66 in the 600 meters for 12th place, while Molly Latincsics clocked 9:45.22 in the 3000 meters for a personal best and 30th overall. In the mile, Sydney Partyka ran a strong 4:46.98 to finish 23rd, earning the #6 spot in OSU history, with Ellie Hull finishing in 5:06.01.

The 4x400 relay team of Megan Hatcher, Addison Swartzendruber, Jada Hurley, and Dede Norman capped the meet with a 4th-place finish, clocking a time of 3:55.78.
