Beavs LA Bound for Bouts with Waves, Lions

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Following their seventh sweep of the season in the last time out, the Oregon State volleyball team will return to the road this weekend with battles against Pepperdine and LMU ahead. Oregon State picked up its fourth consecutive win at home this past Sunday with a sweep of the Dons behind a high-powered attack led by Lauren Rumel and the WCC's Freshman of the Week, Alana Marrs.
The Beavers (12-5, 6-1) will look to get back to winning ways on the road following a four-frame setback to league-leading San Diego in their last road tilt two weeks ago.
Numbers to Know
.161: Oregon State held San Francisco to a measly .161 hitting rate in the opening set of Sunday's sweep of the Dons.
.692: Alana Marrs hit .692 on 13 swings, getting 10 kills in the Sunday sweep.
3: Marrs has now won a WCC-best three Freshman of the Week awards.
4: Oregon State upped their home winning streak to four matches on Sunday.
4.04: Lauren Rumel's 4.04 kills/set rates second in the league entering the weekend's matches.
7: The Beavers have now swept seven foes in '25, including three in WCC play.

• Oregon State will return to Oregon for a pair of matches next week.
• The Beavs will venture up I-5 to meet Portland on 10/30 before opening November at home against Washington State.
• When the Beavs and Pilots will meet on The Bluff, it will be for the 54th time a series the OSU has dominated by a 45-8 margin.
• In a series that stretches back to 1968, OSU and Wazzu will meet for the 110th time.
• During the Behonick era, all four meetings have been split with the home team being winners in 2024.
On Our Way Back to the Pac
• Oregon State closes its two-year stint as an affiliate member of the WCC in 2025.
• Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, San Diego State, Texas State and Utah State will join OSU and Washington State in a rebuilt Pac-12 on July 1, 2026.

• Before the season started, Rumel was named to the United States' U23 roster for the NORCECA Pan-American Championships and helped lead the team to a gold medal-winning finish.
