• Oregon State won last season's game, 41-38. Anthony Hankerson rushed for 83 yards while Salahadin Allah and Gabarri Johnson both rushed for touchdowns. Trent Walker caught 12 passes for 136 yards.
• Robb Akey was the defensive line coach at Washington State from 1999-2002. He then became the Cougars' defensive coordinator from 2003-06.
• Akey moved to Idaho a year later to become the Vandals' head coach. He coached one game against the Cougars, losing 45-28 in Pullman in 2007.
• Daniel Akey, Oregon State's Special Teams Quality Control Analyst, was a student assistant for the Cougars from 2017-21.
• Oregon State Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach Marco Candido was an intern at Washington State in 2005 and 2006. He later served as an assistant strength coach for football at WSU from 2008-16.

Akey Appointed Interim Head Coach
• Robb Akey was appointed Oregon State's Interim Head Coach prior to the Beavers' game against Lafayette.
• Akey joined the Oregon State staff as Special Assistant To The Head Coach prior to the 2025 season. He joined the program from Central Michigan, where he was defensive coordinator from 2019-2024.
• Akey was the head coach at Idaho from 2007-12, taking the Vandals to the Humanitarian Bowl in 2009.
• Akey is no stranger to the Pac-12 Conference. He was the defensive coordinator at Washington State from 2003-06. Prior to that, he coached the Cougars' defensive line unit from 1999-2002.
Hankerson's Career Day
• Anthony Hankerson's four touchdowns against Lafayette tied the Oregon State single-game record. He became the ninth Beaver to score four rushing touchdowns in a game.
• Hankerson also became the 11th different Beaver to rush for 200 yards. There have now been 18 200-yard efforts in the program's history, and his 204 yards against the Leopards rank 17th.
• Hankerson is one of seven players at the FBS level with four or more rushing scores in a game this season.
• The 204 yards, meanwhile, are the sixth-most by an FBS player this season.
Homestand
• Saturday's game marks the third in a four-game homestand for the Beavers, who will also take on Sam Houston Nov. 8 to cap the Beavers' finale home date of the 2025 season.Â
• It's the first four-game homestand for the Beavers since the start of the 1997 season. OSU opened with a win over North Texas, followed by losses to Stanford and Arizona State before a win over San Jose State.
On This Date
• Oregon State is playing on Nov. 1 for the 18th time in the program's history.
• The Beavers are 5-12 on the date, last playing on it in 2014, dropping a 45-31 final to California in Corvallis.
Recapping The Lafayette Win
• The win was the first for the Beavers under interim head coach Robb Akey. It was the 21st of his head coaching career with the first 20 coming at Idaho.
• Oregon State's 365 rush yards are the most since 2016 when racking up 474 against California. The 365 yards mark the 17th-most in Oregon State history.
• Gabarri Johnson's 52-yard rush was just the third of 50 or more yards by an Oregon State quarterback spanning back to 1996. Tim Alexander ran for 83 yards against Northern Illinois in 1996, and Gevani McCoy carried the ball for a 71-yard rush against UNLV in 2024.
• Cornell Hatcher Jr. had a 42-yard rush, the longest of his collegiate career.
• Gabe Milbourn caught a 1-yard touchdown from Johnson in the third quarter. The reception marked the first score of Milbourn's career.
• The Beavers' 21-point third quarter was the team's highest scoring quarter since posting 21 against Stanford in the third quarter of a 62-17 win on Nov. 11, 2023.
• Jojo Johnson intercepted his first career pass in the third quarter.
• OSU topped 40 points for the first time since a 41-38 win over Washington State last season.
• Oregon State's 35 second-half points marked the most in a half since the Beavers totaled 38 in the first half against UC Davis in the second game of 2023.
• Tristan Ti'a made his collegiate debut, passing for 4 yards on a completion to Jhae Drummer. The reception marked the first of Drummer's career.
• Skyler Jackson, son of former Oregon State running back Steven Jackson, also made his Beaver debut, rushing for 2 yards on the final play of the game.
• Lafayette attempted 20 plays on third down, going 8-for-20. It was the most attempts by an OSU opponent since Arizona went 12-for-20 in 2019. Lafayette was just 2-for-10 in the second half.
