Beavs Host Nanooks for Free Sunday Exhibition

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State women's basketball will give Beaver Nation its first look at the 2025-26 Beavs on Sunday at 7 p.m.

The game is free to watch and seating outside of courtside will be general admission.

As is typical for the preseason exhibition, the game will not be streamed nor will there be a radio broadcast or live stats.

MEET THE NANOOKS
The Beavers will take on NCAA Division II Alaska-Fairbanks, who went 6-20 last season but have a new coach for the 2025-26 campaign. Beaver fans will see a familiar name on the back of a Nanooks uniform in Marney Rees, the sister of Oregon State alum Kelsey Rees ('25).

NOTABLES:
- Oregon State returns nine players from last season's WCC Tournament Champions and no players transferred out of the program.
- OSU was one of just 25 teams in all of Division I women's college basketball and the only team in the WCC or the soon-to-be Pac-12 without a transfer out.
- The Beavers had a league-high three players on the WCC Preseason All-Conference team: Catarina Ferreira, Tiara Bolden and Kennedie Shuler.
- Shuler returns after averaging 4.4 assists per game and an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.93 over the second half of the 2025-26 season, her first as the starting point guard.
- Bolden, a Eugene native, joined Shuler at WCC Media Day. She was one of the conference's top rebounding guards in 2024-25 with 3.2 defensive boards per game.
- Ferreira is injured and out for the 2025-26 season after earning WCC Tournament MVP while leading the Beavs to the title last year.
- Scott Rueck added size of the transfer portal with Néne Sow and Lizzy Williamson. Neither played many minutes at their previous schools, but neither had Sela Heide or Kelsey Rees who graduated in 2025 after leading the Beavers to the NCAA Tournament.
- Sow and Williamson join returner Cat Ferreira as players in their sixth or seventh year of college basketball. Oregon State is one of four teams nationally with three players in year six or seven.
- Jenna Villa transferred within the Pac-12 from Washington State to Oregon State and projects to make an impact on the perimeter as a career 33.6% three-point shooter
- Oregon State welcomes three international freshman as well: Keira Lindemans (Australia), Katelyn Field (Australia) and Lara Alonso-Basurto (Spain)
- The Beavs rank fourth in NCAA Division I women's basketball in number of internationals student athletes with 10.
