Beavers Set For Roadrunner Open Sunday In Bakersfield

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State wrestling team heads to the Roadrunner Open Sunday in Bakersfield. The event is slated to get underway at 9 a.m. PT.

The Open
Oregon State is competing at the event for the first time since the 2022-23 season. Sunday is the first of two trips to Bakersfield for the Beavers who will be returning to California for a dual on Jan. 16.
Last Time Out
Oregon State opened its home slate this past Sunday with a 25-9 win over Utah Valley at Gill Coliseum.
The Beavers won seven of the 10 bouts, with Maximo Renteria (125), Keller Rock (165) and Matthew Olguin (174) all earning extra points in their wins. Olguin's was the biggest of the day with a 21-6 technical fall.
Renteria and Justin Rademacher each kept their undefeated seasons going. Renteria won via major decision, 11-1, and Rademacher pulled out a takedown with seconds remaining for a 4-1 win at 197.
