Beavers Fall to Sam Houston

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State football team fell to Sam Houston 21-17 Saturday evening at Reser Stadium in Corvallis, Ore.
Anthony Hankerson rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns, as he became the 14th player in program history to run for 2,000 career yards.
David Wells Jr. had nine receptions for 112 yards, while Gabarri Johnson recorded 29 completions for 286 yards. Gabe Milbourn tallied three catches for 57 yards.
Aiden Sullivan led the Beavers with six total tackles, while Skyler Thomas had five. Sailasa Vadrawale III came through with an interception in the closing minutes.
As a team, the Beavers gained a total of 474 yards, while holding the Bearkats to 157 yards of total offense.
The Oregon State offense got off to a strong start, as the Beavers scored on their first two possessions to open up a 10-0 first-quarter lead. Hankerson's second touchdown put OSU up by 17, but Sam Houston found the endzone in the final 90 seconds of the first half to send Oregon State to the locker room up 17-7.
A pair of special-teams scores put the Bearkats in front 21-17 mid-way through the closing period. The Beavers got into the redzone within the final five minutes of action, but could not punch the ball in as Sam Houston claimed the victory.
Oregon State honored its 2025 seniors in a pregame ceremony.
The Beavers will be on the road next Saturday for a matchup with Tulsa.
